I am a traveler. I have an enormous urge to travel... But I've recently discovered that my need to travel doesn't always manifest itself in the same way. I've spent a year teaching in China which allowed me to backpack around South East Asia for a month. However, I really enjoy exploring my temporary home town of Shaoxing. Finding new parks, visiting new tourist spots, climbing or biking the mountains nearby are all funtivities for any given day. I've learned that each location is an adventure, and that I don't have to travel all over the world to see the world. I think I would like to have the occasion spree through a handful of countries, but I appreciate living in a new place and getting to know it well.

I am, in no particular order... creative, smart, always learning, mildly athletic, wanderlust, chaotic wrapped in calm, college graduate, teacher, friend, woman, extroverted introvert and introverted extrovert... I like people and myself equally.
I was raised in the midwest. But I grew up, that is became the person I am today, because of the places I've visited, people I've met, and the experiences I've had both in and definitely out of the midwest.
